We booked about 8 rooms to accommodate everyone attending my son's wedding. The hotel seemed like it had been upgraded and had been painted/decorated and had nice bedding and towels. It was very clean. Rooms had different themes so bride and groom picked the Butterfly room and it was very cute. Some rooms have multiple beds which helped in housing the guests. We were happy there were refrigerators and microwaves in all rooms. Outside each room they had a small sitting table with 2 chairs to enjoy the weather and to accommodate any smokers. I was glad the rooms did not smell like smoke at all. Airconditioner in our room was not noisy. The hotel is located nextdoor to the Brownsville Cafe and that restaurant served our party of 24 people an excellent dinner, and lunches the next day. It is a quiet town, small, with just a few stores/delis nearby but that is what we were looking for to hold a private outdoor wedding, which we did about a mile from the hotel. Lovely area. Plenty of free parking and they have wifi. No road noise whatsoever. Staff treated us respectfully and seemed excited about our wedding party being there. We would definately stay there again and recommend it.

A big thank you to Brownsville Motel, and especially to Lori, the wonderful owner, and her sweet dog, Butter Cup. I live in the Bay Area and traveled up there to focus on finishing my memoir. My goal was to find a clean, comfortable room in the countryside with a desk where I could work peacefully--and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Lori's dedication to hospitality truly stood out. Someone is always on the property, so no matter what I needed, Lori was at my door with a solution. One evening, she even went into town just to get me a large bottle of body wash. Now that's service! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend staying here. For those planning a longer visit (I stayed for a week), I suggest bringing along some of your favorite food supplies. While there is a new store just up the street, having a stocked fridge and microwave in the room makes for an even more convenient stay. Thank you, Lori, for such a lovely experience. Please give Butter Cup a big hug from me!

There was no breakfast. We were given a list of wonderful places to eat all around a 20 minute drive. I did not know that which was disappointing as we had our grandson with us who eats a lot. But luckily I had a few snacks with us. I liked the bed and pillows, but there was a slight issue with the beds.
